We had a very anticipated appointment today with Ella's pediatric ophthalmologist in Memphis. As we were told on her last appointment, they were going to dilate her eyes today to determine if any damage had been caused from the eye being closed over the past year. They were going to be searching for astigmatisms, which she casually mentioned could be fixed (or helped) with glasses. Needless to say, I was a little on edge about this visit!
After the 45 minute wait in the waiting room, and then the 25 minute wait in the patient room, Ella finally had the drops put into her eyes and after 15 more minutes, she was examined.
NO PROBLEMS, WHATSOEVER!!!
We were so happy that there didn't look to be any damage and that her eyesight should be fine! We don't have to continue the patching of her eye anymore AND we don't have to go back to this doctor for another 6 months! YIPPEE!
We feel so very blessed that after all of this, Ella has come out on the other side unharmed! Thank you, God!
