We are on Day 3 of being in our little room at LeBonheur and we are trying to make the best of it. The picture above is of her face today...with that eye just a little more open, in my opinion.
She has been signed off on by peds regarding her breathing problems, which are all much, much better. And her hemangioma doctor thinks she is doing really well on the medicine. Her blood pressure dropped a little yesterday, but that was to be expected, since this drug is originally intended to lower blood pressure. We are staying again tonight so they can watch her a little more just to make sure the dosage is right for when she goes home.
They are not sure how long Ella will be on this medication. It will really all depend on how it works for her and if they continue to see progress with her hemangiomas. It could be 6-9 months...for all I know. Right now, we are giving it to her 3 times a day, so we should be pretty used to taking medicine by the time she is 1 year old, for sure!
Since all we are doing is just hanging out in our room all day, we have tried to do whatever we can to pass the time. Here are a few pics from today:
